KMG Electronic Chemicals Electrified by 3E's Fast and Reliable MSDS Authoring Service
KMG Electronic Chemicals, Inc., supplies acids, solvents, and other chemicals used in the manufacture of semiconductors primarily from its state of the art facility in Pueblo, Colorado. Customers use these products to etch and clean wafers at each production layer. In Europe, its subsidiary, KMG Italia S.r.l., operates from a manufacturing and warehouse facility near Milan, Italy.
After the acquisition of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., KMG needed to quickly develop MSDSs for its newly-acquired products, to replace Air Products' existing MSDSs. The MSDSs needed to be authored for the entire global product line, which encompasses over 200 individual products. KMG needed to produce 520 accurate MSDSs in a four month time span. Novelis Rolls Out New MSDS Program for Increased Efficiency and Cost Savings
In January 2005, Novelis spun off from Alcan Inc. Prior to the spin off, its internal environmental, health and safety (EH&S) staff was generating material safety data sheets (MSDS). As management of the newly formed Novelis began to examine EH&S operations, they quickly realized that limited resources prohibited the creation of a team of technical experts. The management team was also wary of the financial implications of purchasing and maintaining an in-house technology solution to properly author and manage their product MSDSs.

Southwest Airlines' Compliance Management Soars with 3E
Southwest Airlines aims to use its 436 (and growing) colorful planes to safely move over 70 million Customers and 288 million pounds of cargo annually. That cargo and Customer baggage can contain all types of materials in them including clothing, paperwork, birthday presents, food stuffs and many other commercial products. Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) are not allowed on Southwest Airlines (with limited exceptions) and even when offered on a commercial carrier that does transport hazardous materials, the HAZMAT must be properly classified, packaged, marked, labeled, documented and declared as HAZMAT. In an industry where time is of the essence, the airline found its Safety Specialists needing to answer frontline Employee questions quickly and accurately 24-7. The airline considered adding staff but then created an EH&S route that included the services of 3E. It's been smooth flying ever since.
