About 3E Company
3E Company provides a broad range of products and services designed to address the challenges faced by companies related to compliance requirements for the safety of their employees; and compliance requirements related to the safety of manufacturers’ products.
Workplace Safety
OSHA, the EPA and other international government bodies mandate that certain standards be maintained when an organization uses, stores, transports or disposes of hazardous materials. In the U.S., companies must maintain a Hazard Communication plan which requires the maintenance of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) for each chemical in a company's inventory. MSDSs must be readily accessible to all employees, and in some cases, the company’s customers. There are additional requirements for the safe transportation of dangerous goods as regulated by federal and international regulatory bodies. In addition, documentation, paperwork, permits and fees must be submitted to local, state and federal agencies on a regular basis. Companies are subject to inspection at any time, resulting in costly penalties for anyone found out of compliance.
Product Safety
Alternatively, the manufacturers and distributors of products that contain hazardous substances are required to comply with regulations related to import/export, hazard communication, notification, reporting and prohibitions on the marketing and use of hazardous substances in the products they manufacture and/or distribute.
EH&S Challenges
EH&S professionals work in a highly challenging atmosphere. Economic forces demand that downsized EH&S departments stay at peak performance and manage increased responsibility with fewer resources. Trends in EH&S point to a shrinking talent pool and an aging workforce. Competing internally for budget dollars can be a challenge if management can't draw a correlation between compliance programs and a marked improvement in the company's performance. All the while, companies want to visibly demonstrate a high level of compliance and protect their brand. 3E's services have been proven to deliver cost savings, greater EH&S cost efficiencies, improved compliance, reduced risk and protection of the corporate brand.
